Here at Hall Honda Elizabeth City, we've noticed how popular SUVs are these days. Therefore, it's no surprise to see some more competitors joining our favorite Honda models on the market. One recent entry is the 2020 Hyundai Palisade. Let's see how this full-size SUV stacks up to our 2020 Honda Pilot.

On paper, both of these SUVs seem rather similar. They both seat up to eight people and are offered with all-wheel drive. Certain trim levels offer luxury features like heated seats and wireless smartphone charging. The 2020 Honda Pilot and the 2020 Hyundai Palisade are also both powered by V6 engines and can be equipped with convenient cargo features like a hands-free liftgate.

We think that the 2020 Honda Pilot has the advantage in a few areas though. First of all, it's a bit more spacious. It offers up to 109 cubic feet of cargo room behind the front seat, compared to the 86.4 cubic feet offered by the Hyundai model. You'll also notice more shoulder room in the Honda Pilot, with nearly an inch more space in the front row, 1.2 inches more in the second row, and 2.4 inches more in the third row.

The 2020 Honda Pilot also comes standard with a variety of Honda Sensing® features. The 2020 Hyundai Palisade comes standard with some features as well, but you have to pay extra for tech like Smart Cruise Control with Stop and Go. The Honda SUV is also probably best for drivers who really want luxury thanks to the addition of the new high-end Black Edition trim for the 2020 model year.
