Isn’t it great when a good thing gets even better? That’s exactly what happened last month when Honda lifted the lid on the 2017 Honda Civic Si Coupe and Honda Civic Si sedan. Both of these sport-focused variants are designed to appeal to everyday driving enthusiasts who want a little more oomph in their morning commute. They come as a great addition to the ever-popular 2017 Honda Civic vehicle lineup.
The 2017 Honda Civic Si models are powered by a high-performance, high-torque, 1.5-liter, directed-injected and turbocharged DOHC in-line 4-cylinder engine with dual variable cam timing. Whew—say that five times fast! Combined with a short-throw, 6-speed manual transmission, drivers are treated to a thrilling driving experience that features increased torque output across the engine's full rev range. Peak output of 205 horsepower is achieved 1300 rpm lower in the rev range, and increased peak torque of 192 lb-ft comes 2300 rpm earlier.
An aggressive black "wing" front fascia with larger side air intake features sets the 2017 Honda Civic Si apart. Other unique exterior features include 18-inch 10-spoke alloy wheels with a model-exclusive two-tone finish, 235mm-wide low-profile tires, and a chrome center-mounted polygonal exhaust finisher. Inside, drivers can take advantage of heated front seats, walk away door locking, electronic parking brake, and dual-zone automatic climate control. A 7-inch Display Audio touchscreen serves as your control center for audio and other functions. But the best part might be the Si-exclusive bolstered front sport seats with red stitching, including stitched Si logos. If that’s not enough, the Honda Civic Si also features a red driver's TFT meter and audio system illumination, aluminum sport pedals, and Dry Metal Carbon instrument panel trim.
The new 2017 Honda Civic Si will be here at Hall Honda Elizabeth City soon. In the meantime, head in to our dealership near Windsor, NC to check out the high-performance 2017 Honda Civic Touring.
